Elliott Connie is a psychotherapist that practices in Keller, Texas. He is also the founder and owner of The Connie Institute and The Uptown Counseling and Family Therapy Center in Dallas, Texas. He has worked with thousands of couples and families applying the solution focused approach to help them move their lives from the current problems towards their desired futures. He has traveled the world speaking at national and international conferences in such places as throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Scotland, Poland, Sweden, South Africa, Australia and Asia training practitioners to apply solution focused principles and techniques in their work. He was also the co-editor of the book entitled The Art of Solution Focused Therapy and his second book entitled Solution Building in Couples Therapy was released in the Fall of 2012 and his newest book, The Solution Focused Marriage: 5 Simple Habits that Will Bring Out the Best in Your Relationship became available in the Summer of 2013. He is currently working on a research project, along with other leaders in the solution focused community, to define and explore the meaning and process of solution building. He has been mentored by noted authors and practioners such as Bill O’Hanlon, Chris Iveson and Linda Metcalf.
His workshops are known for being filled with useful content and interactive exercises along with dynamic demonstrations and entertaining stories to allow attendees to use the skills they learn immediately when the return to their place of work.
